The Last Humans (posted 5-14-2021)

Two survivors on a wrecked sleeper ship carrying the last humans are rescued by aliens a thousand years after the end of the human race.

There are lots of SF stories about generation ships, fewer about sleeper ships, probably because sleeping people aren’t very interesting. But as a kid, I was always fascinated by the idea of sleeper ships. This is my contribution to the theme.		Sleeper ship from the game Star Wars: the Old Republic

Far From the Burning Sun (posted 4-14-2021)

A lone agent has made a startling discovery on a dwarf planet in the Kuiper Belt and must survive long enough to send a message to her superiors. She is pursued by enemies and is running out of oxygen, but the greatest danger is the frozen wasteland she must cross.

This story was inspired by the discovery of a dwarf planet some years back called Sedna, located in the Kuiper Belt some 15 billion kilometers from the sun.
